Following the incident of misbehaviour with the Director of Elementary Education, Ajay Kumar Nautiyal, the department has announced several strict measures to enhance security across all subordinate offices in Uttarakhand.

The Directorate of Elementary Education has decided that Home Guards or PAC personnel will be permanently deployed for security at all education offices, from the directorate to the district level. Boundary walls will also be constructed around office premises to prevent unauthorised entry.

In addition, the SCERT will issue directives to all DIETs to take disciplinary action against the trainee teachers involved in the incident. A gate pass system will be introduced to restrict access to only authorised individuals, and identity cards will be mandatory for all officials, employees and visitors.

An emergency meeting of departmental officials, teachers, and staff was held on Friday, during which the misbehaviour incident was strongly condemned. The attendees demanded strict action against those responsible and warned of a work boycott if timely action is not taken.
