Air India Viral Video: India’s one of the most popular airlines, Air India, recently ended up in the eye of the storm amid accusations of ‘mishandling’ passengers’ fragile luggage. The criticism came after a video surfaced online, where the luggage crew was seen roughly loading the luggage of passengers to a different vehicle. The video was shared by a musician, who highlighted his concern about the same crew mishandling his musical instruments. The clip went viral almost immediately and gained major reaction from people.
Some turned against AI and criticised the management, while some advocated the airline and pointed out that the airline had nothing to do with the luggage crew, as they were ‘contract-based’.
The video was shared on Instagram, by the handle ‘Ishwar Dwivedi’. The post was captioned, “@airindia @ratantata is this the way you handle fragile items??”

Taking to the comment section, people shared their views. “Dear friends, I worked in this industry for two years. The amount of labour work required here is insane. There is no shade or anything on the runway and mostly these loaders are paid very little money by handling agencies. Each flight has close to 250 - 300 bags weighing close to 12 kg on average. They do 10-12 flights a day. So if you have something super precious there are services that transport your stuff safely but at a higher price! If u don’t want to pay those charges for fragile courier or cargo please don’t cry about this,” a user wrote.
“It's not Air India, it's a contract-based service. Get the info right first,” added a second person. “Not only Air India.. but indigo also doing the same. and after any inconveniences, they told me that they were not responsible for that. I have also proven like that,” added a third. “This is what happens when you either cut cost in the Quality Control team or hire Illiterate & inexperienced people at below-average salaries,” wrote a fourth.
