Viral Meme Trends Of 2025: By the time 2025 rolled on, one thing became very clear: the internet had its own rules. Nothing needed deep meaning anymore. If something felt funny, strange, or oddly relatable, it spread instantly. People didn’t stop to ask why. They just joined in. Memes this year were not just for laughs. They became part of everyday life. You did not need background stories or explanations. Being online was enough. One random word could suddenly define a mood. A small slip-up could turn into a running joke across the country. A short video could push someone into overnight fame.
These are the six meme moments from 2025 that dominated timelines, sparked debates, and stayed in people’s heads long after the jokes were made, proving once again that once the internet latches on, it never really lets go.
1. Italian Brainrot:
After Oxford named brainrot as the word of the year in 2024, a new trend called Italian Brainrot went viral. It featured bizarre AI-generated creatures with fake Italian names and distorted voices. Names like Ballerina Cappuccina and Cappuccino Assassino confused many people, but the strange phrases and videos spread like wildfire on social media.
2. Jet2 Holiday Sound:
This meme wasn’t about pictures; it was all about a sound. The audio came from a Jet2 Holiday commercial saying, “nothing beats a Jet2 Holiday.” People used it to show vacations gone hilariously wrong. TikTok and Instagram users found that adding this trending sound could make videos go viral instantly.

3. Labubu Dolls:
Labubu dolls became a global obsession in 2025. Cute but slightly creepy, these collectible dolls gained attention when celebrities like Rihanna, Cher, and Kim Kardashian carried them in handbags. Some fans jokingly linked them to Pazuzu, an ancient Mesopotamian demon, claiming the dolls had "demonic energy," which made the trend even more popular.
4. 100 Men vs 1 Gorilla:
This meme sparked endless debates online. The question was simple: could 100 average men take down one gorilla? The answers ranged from logical to absurd, and people created countless jokes imagining the outcome. It became a symbol of the internet’s love for ridiculous hypothetical battles.
5. Trump Take Egg:
Before extreme tariffs caused the U.S. economy to wobble, the internet found humor in something unusual: egg prices. Memes poked fun at people who voted for Trump, hoping for lower egg costs, only to see prices rise sharply. The absurdity of the situation made this meme widely shared and remembered.
6. Get Me to God’s Country:
Country singer Morgan Wallen inspired one of the funniest memes of 2025. After leaving the SNL stage mid-performance, he posted a private jet picture on Instagram with the caption, “Get me to God's country.” Fans and the internet made jokes about the wealthy star escaping the city in style, turning his dramatic moment into comedy gold.
