Bangladesh Hindu Attacks:  Bangladeshi Hindus took to the streets to protest against the arrest of ISKCON monk and Hindu leader Chinmoy Krishna Das Prabhu on Monday evening. However, reports suggest that the Hindus were brutally attacked during their protests in Dhaka and Chittagong, leading to injuries to two dozen people.

Earlier today, Bangladeshi officials arrested the monk on sedition charges from the Dhaka International Airport and taken him to an "unknown location", a CNN report stated. Following his arrest without a warrant under the stringent law, minority community groups in the country have expressed dissatisfaction with the government's decision.

After Hindus took to the streets following Chinmoy Das's arrests, they were attacked by local Muslim mobs, videos posted on X showed.

Meanwhile, senior BJP Bengal leader Suvendu Adhikari termed the arrest 'a ploy against Hindus by the interim government led by Muhammad Yunus'.

Taslima Nasrin, renowned author and an outspoken critic of religious fundamentalism, shared videos of protests from Chattogram on X.

"Hindus protest in Chittagong against the arrest of Chinmoy Krishna Das," she captioned the video.

Several videos that went viral on social media late Monday evening showed Bangladeshi policemen targeting the protestors who were marching towards the Cheragi intersection, reported news agency IANS.

Unverified social media claims by Hindu groups in Bangladesh allege that miscreants attacked protesters near Dhaka University, causing several injuries. However, sources suggest that a similar attack occurred in Chittagong, also resulting in multiple injuries.
