New Delhi: The Ministry of External Affairs on Friday confirmed that three Indian nationals are missing in Iran and added they are in touch with the concerned families. According to a report by the Economic Times, at least three Indian nationals went to Iran in December last year. The report mentioned Yogesh Panchal and Mohammad Sadeeque had travelled to Iran in December 2024 under the 15-day visa waiver programme for business purposes. They were staying in a hostel in Tehran's Baherestan area-- the last location they mentioned to their families.

"Three Indian nationals who had gone to Iran for business purposes, they are missing. We are in touch with their families. We have taken up the matter with the Iranian Embassy in Delhi and with the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Tehran.
