flydubai Plane Incident: Amid the ongoing probe into the flydubai flight incident, questions have emerged over two posts that appeared on the LinkedIn profile of Omani co-pilot Hamam al-Hammami around nine hours after the incident. The post reportedly featured cockpit videos, references to Israeli airlines, images of former al Qaeda figures and an AI-generated depiction of Islam’s three holiest sites.

First Post Included Cockpit Footage

According to CNN and several other news outlets, the first post contained several videos recorded inside the cockpit of a Boeing 737 Max. The aircraft involved in Wednesday’s incident was a flydubai Boeing 737 Max 8 that was diverted to Saudi Arabia’s Tabuk. One clip, which CNN said it identified as being filmed at Dubai International Airport, showed the person recording the footage focusing on an El Al aircraft.

The cockpit display visible in the video showed flight number OMA624 and the date October 11, 2023. OMA624 generally operates between Dubai and Muscat. Also, the date matched the period when al-Hammami was working for Oman Air. Other parts of the footage showed aircraft operated by El Al and another Israeli carrier, Arkia.

Second Post Featured Religious Sites

The second post contained an AI-created image showing Islam’s three holiest sites in Mecca, Medina and Jerusalem, connected by a glowing path. A poem with themes of humiliation, and willingness to face death played alongside the image. The LinkedIn profile, along with an Instagram account carrying the same name and photographs, has since been deleted.
