Saudi-Houthi Conflict: One person was killed and 11 others were injured in a fresh attack targeting Riyadh's international airport in Saudi Arabia. The incident came a day after a deadly strike at the King Khalid International Airport that killed 13 people and injured more than 300. The attacks have raised concerns over airport safety in the kingdom, with the Indian Embassy issuing an advisory asking Indian nationals to remain alert.

Reuters reported, citing Saudi authorities, that an unidentified projectile hit Terminal 4 of Riyadh's international airport on Sunday, causing fire. The Saudi civil aviation authority later confirmed that one person was killed and 11 others were injured in the attack. The Saudi-led coalition stated that its air defence systems intercepted a cruise missile near King Khalid International Airport and also a ballistic missile launched towards Khamis Mushait.

Houthis Claim Responsibility For Multiple Attacks

Yemen's Iran-aligned Houthi group claimed responsibility for Saturday's attack on Riyadh airport. According to Reuters, in a televised speech on Sunday, Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree stated that the group had targeted King Fahd International Airport in Dammam and two facilities belonging to Saudi Aramco.

The group also renewed their warning against using Saudi airports following the attacks, stating that the situation could become dangerous. "We urge everyone to take our warnings seriously, and Saudi Arabia bears responsibility for any failed interceptions," the Houthis said.

Indian Embassy Issues Advisory

Meanwhile, The Embassy of India in Riyadh has issued an advisory for Indian nationals living in Saudi Arabia amid the current escalating situation. They have been advised to remain alert, stay indoors when necessary, and follow instructions issued by local authorities through official channels. The embassy has also advised Indians not to circulate or repost videos or news related to the ongoing events.

It said the embassy in Riyadh, the Consulate in Jeddah and their VFS services are functioning normally and they can contact 24-hour Pravasi Bharatiya Sahayata Kendra helpline at 8002471234 for assistance. The advisory also comes after one Indian was killed and many others were injured in the October 10 attack.
