Saudi Arabia Crown Prince Assassination: Saudi Arabia Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman has expressed concerns over his personal safety and is reportedly said to have been facing assassination threats. The reports have triggered a significant escalation in protective measures and raised concerns about the potential impact on Saudi Arabia's political stability.

A report by an American website Politico said that Saudi Arabia's de facto ruler during a conversation with US lawmakers, expressed fear about being assassinated.

According to Politico, the Saudi royal has reportedly informed US Congress members that he is risking his life by pursuing a major agreement with the US and Israel, which includes normalising relations between Saudi Arabia and Israel.

In a discussion with US Congress lawmakers, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman also referred to Anwar Sadat, the Egyptian leader who was assassinated following his peace agreement with Israel.

The report indicates that he also inquired about the measures the US took to protect Sadat. He discussed the threats he faces in finalising the deal and how he plans to justify the move, which is expected to provoke anger among Arab nations already opposed to Israel because of the ongoing war in Gaza.
