Iran War 2026: Amid the ongoing war with Iran, US President Donald Trump has openly slammed the close allies of America for not sending help to clear the Strait of Hormuz. The US president stated that the UK should have been America's best ally; however, he was left disappointed. While mocking UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, Trump stated that he needed permission for sending the warships despite holding the top post. He also mocked French President Emmanuel Macron and other European leaders for not helping the US in the war.
The US president, while speaking at the White House, claimed that Starmer needed permission from his team before sending the warships to clear the Hormuz. "I asked UK, who should be our best. In fact, the king is coming over here in two weeks, he's a nice guy, King Charles," Trump said.
"But should be our best but they weren't our best. I said, 'You have two, old broken-down aircraft carriers, do you think you could send them over? Ohhh, I'll have to ask my team. I said, 'You're the prime minister, you don't have to," he added. "Next week the war's going to be over...in three days," the US president added.
While the White House uploaded Trump's speech mocking the UK prime minister, it was deleted later. The US president also mocked French President Emmanuel Macron, pointing out his alleged strained personal life. While Trump asked the European allies to participate in the military conflict, several nations, including France, Germany, and Italy, asserted that it was not their war.

Earlier, Trump asserted that the US doesn't need people to join the war after it was over, further stating the US will never forget the alleged non-cooperation from its allies. The war between Iran and the joint forces of the US and Israel has already completed a month, with no immediate signs of peace in the region.
