Reports have emerged of another attack on school children in US, in a tragic incident at a youth hockey game in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, a shooting has left three people dead and three others critically injured. The violence erupted on Monday afternoon at the Dennis M Lynch Arena on Andrew D Ferland Way, where students from Blackstone Valley Schools and Coventry were competing.
Pawtucket Police Chief Tina Goncalves told the media, as reported by news agency AP, that three other victims have been admitted to the hospital in critical condition. She stated that the shooter died from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. Although the police were not involved in the shooter's death, officers are still investigating the matter.

Chief Goncalves did not provide specific information regarding the age of the shooter or the victims. However, she mentioned that the two people killed appeared to be adults. "It seems this was a targeted attack; it could be a family dispute," she added.
According to a report in The Mirror US, a young girl was also shot and killed. Officials believe the gunman acted alone and are not currently looking for any other suspects.
Videos of the attack on social media clearly show the stampede that occurred during the incident. According to the AP report, police arrived at the scene and closed off the roads surrounding the arena.
