Mumbai Traffic Advisory: BMC election for 29 municipal corporations is scheduled to take place on January 15, hence the Mumbai traffic police has issued an advisory about the road diversion in Worli and parts of Dadar.
The traffic restrictions in Worli and Parts of Dadar will come into force from 8 am on January 14 and will remain in place till 11 pm on January 16 2026. The traffic police in its notification said that the distribution of polling station materials will take place at the school between January 13 and January 15, 2026.
Polling for the BMC civic poll will conclude at 6 pm on January 15, and Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) will be collected and transported to the Strong Room afterwards.
BMC Civic Polls: Traffic Restriction In Dadar
No outsider but only the vehicles of local residents will be allowed on a few roads during the restriction period in Dadar. These roads are-
- Rao Bahadur SK Bole Marg, from Gyan Mandir Junction to Hanuman Mandir Junction, Dadar (West).
- Ashok Vruksh Road, Dadar (West).
- Ranade Road: From Dr Antonia D’Silva High School to Kirtichandra Surishwarji Maharaj Chowk.
-From Baba Sawarkar Chowk to Anna Tipnis Chowk.
BMC Election 2026: Traffic Restriction In Worli
- Traffic restrictions have been imposed in parts of Worli to ensure smooth movement during voting in the area.
- Traffic restrictions on Dr E. Moses Road will be in force from 5 am on January 16, 2026, until midnight.
- Parking will not be permitted on both lanes of Dr E. Moses Road between Worli Naka and Dainik Shivner Marg.
Entry will also be prohibited on both lanes of this stretch as per the requirement. Only essential services vehicles, government vehicles, police vehicles, fire brigade vehicles, ambulances, and vehicles authorised by the Election Commission will be allowed for entry.
BMC Election Traffic Advisory: Alternate Routes
- Vehicles coming from Mahalaxmi Railway Station and moving toward Worli Naka are advised to take a right turn at Nehru Science Centre and proceed via Dainik Shivner Marg and Shiram Mill Naka to reach their destination.
- Vehicles travelling to Mahalaxmi Railway Station from Worli Naka are advised to proceed towards Ganpatrao Kadam Marg, Shiram Mill Naka and Dainik Shivner Marg.
- Motorists travelling from Worli Naka to Kurane Chowk are advised to use Dr Annie Besant Road or Ganpatrao Kadam Marg to reach their destinations, the traffic notification said.
