In a wave of ruling Mahayuti alliance, 21 women candidates emerged victorious in the elections to the Maharashtra assembly, with only one of them coming from the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi alliance. The BJP-led Mahayuti alliance registered a massive victory over the opposition by winning 234 out of 288 seats in the state. 

Most of the women candidates who won in the election were fielded by the BJP. A total of 14 women candidates won the election on the saffron party's ticket, including ten candidates who were re-elected. Shweta Mahale (Chikli constituency), Meghana Bordikar (Jintur), Devyani Farande (Nashik central), Seema Hiray (Nashik west), Manda Mhatre (Belapur), Manisha Chaudhari (Dahisar), Vidya Thakur (Goregaon), Madhuri Misal (Parvati), Monica Rajale (Shevgaon), and Namita Mundada (Kaij) are the candidates who got re-elected. The four new elected women MLAs of the party are Shreejaya Chavan (Bhokar), Sulabha Gaikwad (Kalyan East), Sneha Pandit (Vasai), and Anuradha Chavan (Fulambari).

Apart from BJP, two of the women candidates were elected on Shiv Sena tickets, and the remaining four other women candidates were fielded by NCP. Manjula Gavit (Sakri) and Sanjana Jadhav (Kannad) were elected on Shiv Sena tickets, and Sulbha Khodke (Amravati), Saroj Ahire (Deolali), Sana Malik (Anushaktinagar), and Aditi Tatkare (Shrivardhan) won on NCP tickets. The only woman candidate who managed to win from the opposition alliance is Congress' Jyoti Gaikwad (Dhavari).

The Mahayuti alliance came back to power by registering a massive victory over MVA. The Congress could only win 16 seats, while its alliance partners Shiv Sena UBT won 20 and NCP-SP won 10. Among the Mahayuti, the BJP won the maximum number of seats (132), while allies Shiv Sena won 57 and NCP 41. This was the first instance since 1990 that an alliance had secured over 200 seats in Maharashtra. After winning the election, the leaders of the Mahayuti alliance said that the Chief Minister will be decided mutually after discussion.
