Heavy rainfall from the past four days has caused havoc in Maharashtra, leading to flooding in Vidarbha, Nagpur and Nashik. The state braces for heavy rainfall for the next 2 days as the cyclone has reached Maharashtra. As per the India Meteorological Department, a cyclone from Bengal has hit Maharashtra as it reached there via Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh. 

Maharashtra Weather Forecast

Winds in coastal Maharashtra are blowing at a speed of 65 km. The weather department has issued a yellow alert in Ratnagiri, Satara and Nashik Ghats, Dhule, Nandurbar districts for moderate to heavy rainfall, while rain is expected in isolated locations in Pune and Nagar, Palghar, Sambhajinagar, Jalna and Jalgaon districts on Sunday.

The meteorological department has issued a yellow alert in coastal districts, including Raigad, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg districts, as well as the Ghats of Pune, Satara and Kolhapur on Monday. 

There is a possibility of heavy rain in the state for the next two days. Above-average rainfall has been predicted in Vidarbha, North Maharashtra. A warning of heavy rain has also been issued in Konkan, Marathwada. 

As per the four-week weather forecast by the weather Department, the rainfall situation in the state looks normal till August 7. 

Mumbai Weather Forecast: Gentle Rain To Please Residents

While there is no weather alert in Mumbai, the city of dreams braces for gentle rain to soothe the weekend for residents. From 12 July to 14 July, Mumbai will witness generally cloudy skies with light rain, with daytime highs ranging from 29–32 degrees Celsius and night-time lows staying between 25–27 degrees Celsius. Modest rainfall is expected in the city on July 15.
