In another update, with the festive season around the corner and holidays lined up in October, many are wondering whether dry days will be observed. The Excise Department has now issued the official list of dry days for October 2025.

According to the notification, all liquor shops, pubs, bars, and restaurants across the state will remain closed on October 2 (Thursday) in observance of Gandhi Jayanti, which also coincides with Dussehra this year.

On dry days, the sale and serving of alcohol are strictly prohibited across all licensed outlets including private and government-run establishments. Restaurants, hotels, and retail shops are not allowed to serve or sell alcohol throughout the day. Authorities have warned that public consumption of alcohol on dry days is a punishable offence.
