Mumbai Local Train Update: In the wake of the complete track renewal work on Platform 4 at Mumbai Central station, several Mumbai local trains will face service disruption for 60 days. As per the announcement made by the Western Railway, service disruption began on November 23 and will remain in place for 2 months.
According to a press release by the Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, Vineet Abhishek, some affected trains are being short-terminated at Dadar, while others will be partially cancelled between Dadar and Mumbai Central.

The Western Railway has urged passengers to plan their journey accordingly.
Mumbai Local Trains Cancelled: Several Passengers' Trains Suspended For 3 Months
Starting December 1, 2025, Northern Railway will suspend several passenger and long-distance trains until March 1, 2026, as part of its yearly plan to deal with heavy winter fog.
Officials say thick fog in the northern plains badly cuts visibility in the early morning and late evening. This makes trains unsafe and causes long delays. To prevent accidents and keep the rest of the network running smoothly, the railway has decided to cancel many trains during the peak fog season.
Central Railway To Operate Additional Trains On December 6
In other news regarding the Mumbai local service update, the Central Railway (CR) announced on Monday that it will run 12 additional suburban trains on December 6, the death anniversary of Babasaheb Ambedkar, celebrated as Mahaparinirvan Divas.
On the occasion of Mahaparinirvan Divas, scores of followers from across the country travel to Chaityabhoomi in Dadar.

Mumbai Local Special Trains Timing
The special trains will run between Parel–Kalyan and Kurla–Panvel stations during Friday–Saturday midnight hours. Services will run from Kurla, Kalyan, Thane, Parel, Vashi, and Panvel stations between 12:45 am and 4 am.
