Mumbai Metro Line 14: In a big push towards connectivity and sustainable urban transportation, the upcoming metro corridor in Mumbai from Kanjumarg to Badlapur will play a significant role. The Mumbai Metro Line 14, or Margenta Line, is a key step towards building connectivity, reducing traffic congestion and cutting down travel time. The 39-km Mumbai Metro Line 14 will pass through major commercial, residential and industrial zones. It aims to improve connectivity between Mumbai and the Thane district.
Mumbai Metro Line 14: All You Need To Know
The Mumbai Metro Line 14, also known as Margenta Line, is 39 km in length and is being built at an estimated cost of 18,000 crore. It will start at Kanjumarg in eastern Mumbai and extend to Badapur in the Thane district, improving connectivity between the two major destinations. The Metro Line will pass through densely populated areas such as Vikhroli, Airoli, Ambernath and Palava City. The upcoming metro corridor will cut down travel by 1.5 to 2 hours.
The Mumbai Metro Line 14 will have underground tracks from Kanjumarg to Ghansoli and elevated tracks from Ghansoli to Badlapur. The ambitious project by the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) will allow metro connectivity to the suburbs.
List Of Stations Of The Mumbai Metro Line 14
The Mumbai Metro Line 14 will start at Kanjumarg and pass through Vikhroli, LBS Marg, Chikoli, Shil Phata, Mahape, Ghansoli, Airoli, Turbhe, Digha, Ambernath, Loknagari, Manpada, Palava City, and conclude at Badlapur North. Once the route is operational, the MMRDA expects that the line will transport approximately seven lakh passengers daily.
