Mumbai Metro Line 3 Update: In a move to make the city’s metro network more accessible and inclusive, the Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation (MMRCL) has announced a 25 per cent concession for differently-abled commuters on the newly inaugurated Mumbai Metro Line 3 or Aqua Line starting November 23.
In a statement, the MMRCL said, “The company is committed to ensuring an accessible and inclusive transit system for all commuters, including persons with disabilities (PwDs),” news agency PTI reported.

Ticket Integration For Fare Concession In Final Stage
The statement stated that the technical integration required in the ticketing system to implement the fare concession is progressing as planned and is now in its final phases. Once the final testing is completed, the 25 per cent concession will be activated starting November 23.
“The 25 per cent concession announced earlier for differently-abled commuters is currently in the final testing phase. The technical integration work is progressing as planned and is expected to be completed soon,” the statement further read.
“In a step towards inclusive mobility, #MMRC has planned to offer a 25% discount on Monthly Trip Passes on Metro Line-3 for differently-abled passengers. This facility will be effective after about 10 days, post ticketing system updates,” the Mumbai Metro Line 3 announced on X (formerly Twitter).
Key Details About Mumbai Metro Line 3
The Mumbai Metro Line 3, also known as the Aqua Line, is the city’s first fully underground metro corridor. The entire line, featuring 27 stations, was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on October 9.
Spanning 33.5 km, the underground corridor connects Cuffe Parade in South Mumbai to Aarey JVLR in the Western Suburbs, passing through key commercial and administrative hubs like the Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC).
