: Mumbai Police have issued a traffic advisory in preparation for the Maharashtra Day Parade scheduled for May 1, 2025, at Shivaji Park in Dadar. To ensure the event runs smoothly, traffic regulations are enforced on all roads surrounding Shivaji Park from 6 AM to 12 PM.
On Maharashtra Day, significant traffic control measures will be necessary to facilitate the parade's operations. As a result, Dy. Commissioner of Police, Samadhan Pawar, has announced a series of regulations under the Motor Vehicles Act to maintain public safety and prevent disruptions.

Mumbai Traffic Advisory For Maharashtra Day
The following traffic restrictions will be in effect on May 1, 2025, between 6 AM and 12 PM:
A. Road Closures And One-Way Regulations
- Keluskar Road (North and South) will be closed to all vehicles, except for invitees.
- S. K. Bole Road will operate as a one-way street, directing traffic from Siddhivinayak Junction to the Portuguese Church Junction.
- Swatantraveer Savarkar Road will have restricted entry for vehicles from Siddhivinayak Junction to Yes Bank Junction.
- Vehicles travelling from Siddhivinayak Junction towards the western suburbs will need to turn right at Siddhivinayak Junction, continue along S. K. Bole Road, then take a left at Portuguese Church to proceed via Gokhale Road, Gadkari Junction, L. J. Road, and Raja Bade Chowk.
- For those heading to South Mumbai, entry will be restricted from Yes Bank Junction to Siddhivinayak Junction. Drivers should turn left at Yes Bank Junction, proceed along Pandurang Naik Road, and then follow the route through Raja Bade Chowk, L. J. Road, and Gadkari Junction towards South Mumbai.
B. No Parking Zones
No parking will be allowed on the following roads:
- Keluskar Road (North and South)
- Pandurang Naik Road
- N. C. Kelkar Road from Gadkari Chowk to Kotwal Garden.
C. Designated Parking for Emergency Vehicles
Parking will be available for police, BMC, and PWD vehicles at:
- Swatantrya Veer Savarkar Smarak Hall
- Vanita Samaj Hall
- Mahatma Gandhi Swimming Pool
- Kohinoor PPL, N. C. Kelkar Road, Dadar (W), Mumbai.
On 1st May 2025, the Maharashtra Day Parade will be organised at Shivaji Park, Dadar.

D. Instructions for Invitees
Invitees attending the parade are advised to take specific routes to reach Shivaji Park:
- From South and Central Mumbai via Tilak Flyover:
Use the Tilak Flyover bridge, proceed to Kotwal Garden Circle, take a right turn onto N. C. Kelkar Road, and then a left at the Meenatai Thackeray Statue to enter Shivaji Park Gate No. 1.
- From South Mumbai via Dr. Annie Besant Road:
Travel along Dr. Annie Besant Road, head towards Century Junction, then Swatantraveer Savarkar Road, and turn right at Vasant Desai Chowk (Keluskar South Junction) to reach Shivaji Park Gate No. 1.
- From Western Suburbs via Mahim Old Cadell Road:
Proceed from Mahim Junction along the Old Cadell Road past Hinduja Hospital, take Swatantraveer Savarkar Road southbound, and turn left at Vasant Desai Chowk to enter Shivaji Park Gate No. 1.
- From Western Suburbs via Mahim L. J. Road:
Travel through Mahim Church, Lady Jamshedji Road, and Raja Bade Chowk. Take a right turn onto N. C. Kelkar Road and then a left at the Maa Saheb Meenatai Thackeray Statue to reach Shivaji Park Gate No. 1.
Mumbai Traffic Advisory: Maharashtra Day Parade Route Details
The parade will commence from Shivaji Park Ground through Gate No. 5. The route will involve a left turn onto Keluskar Road (North), then a left onto C. Ramchandra Chowk, continuing onto S. Sawarkar Road, and finally concluding at Naarli Baug.
Maharashtra Day: Mumbai Public Advisory
Motorists are urged to avoid the affected routes between 6:00 AM and 12:00 PM. Signage and police personnel will be stationed at various locations to guide both motorists and pedestrians, minimising inconvenience during the event.
Maharashtra Day Parade: Parking For General Public
Residents and citizens without a car pass are instructed to park their vehicles at the Kohinoor Parking Lots of BMC, located on J. K. Sawant Road near Plaza Cinema, Dadar (W), Mumbai.
