Mumbai Weather: The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Wednesday, June 11, forecasts a partly overcast sky with the risk of light rain or thundershowers in Mumbai and its suburbs. The intensity of rainfall has decreased in recent days. However, as the monsoon season progresses, rainfall is likely to rise in Konkan, Western Maharashtra, Marathwada, and Vidarbha.

The city's tidal schedule for today and tomorrow shows considerable swings in sea levels, which might affect coastal and low-lying neighbourhoods. High tide is forecast at 12:18 PM today, with a high of 4.24 metres. Another high tide will occur just after midnight, at 12:04 AM raising water levels to 3.62 metres.

This evening's low tide is expected at 6:24 PM, when sea levels will drop to 2.04 metres. The next low tide is expected at 5:53 AM tomorrow, dipping further to 0.65 metres.

Light to moderate rain and strong winds (30-40 kmph) are expected along the Konkan coast in remote areas. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow signal for the Raigad district of Maharashtra. Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg are expected to get heavy to extremely severe rains.

The meteorological service has predicted severe to extremely heavy rainfall in isolated areas of Pune, Satara, and Kolhapur. Light rain is forecast in isolated areas of Solapur and Sangli. A yellow signal has been issued for Pune, indicating a thunderstorm with lightning, mild to moderate rainfall, and gusty winds (30-40kmph) in isolated areas.

Rainfall has slowed in recent days over Marathwada, with just mild to moderate showers in several areas. However, rainfall is predicted to return. The IMD has issued a warning of heavy rains in all eight districts of Marathwada for the next three to four days.
