Mumbai Ganapati Visarjan News: The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) will be deploying 10,000 staff members to manage the immersion process at several locations in Mumbai including Juhu and Girgaon Chowpatty during the main Ganapati Visarjan which is scheduled for Thursday.

The BMC announced on Monday that it will deploy 46 rafts at Juhu Beach and Girgaon Chowpatty for the protection of visitors, especially in light of recent monsoon-related drowning cases.

The BMC and BEST have installed 1,083 floodlights and 27 searchlights to provide proper visibility at night. There will be 121 portable restrooms.

Meanwhile, the Mumbai Traffic Police has recently released a comprehensive traffic advisory to manage the influx of devotees during the Ganpati Immersion days, aiming to ensure the smooth flow of traffic and procession in Greater Mumbai. These measures have been put in place to maintain order and safety during the significant cultural event, which concludes the ten-day-long Ganesh Chaturthi festival.

As per the advisory, the entry of heavy vehicles into Greater Mumbai has been restricted on specific dates, September 23, 25, and 28. During these days, heavy vehicles will not be allowed on the city's roads to prevent potential obstructions and traffic congestion.
