Pune Metro:In a major relief for the Metro commuters, the Pune Metro has taken several initiatives to provide seamless, comfortable and unlimited travel to the passengers. One such scheme is the 'One Day Travel Pass'. It is a daily pass that provides unlimited travel for the whole day at just Rs 100. The service can be availed at all metro stations
The daily pass will be beneficial for students, senior citizens, and tourists visiting the city and looking for cheaper rides to travel across the city. The new scheme will be effective on all routes, including the lines between Vanaz to Garware College and Pimpri to Swargate.
The move is likely to bolster Pune Metro as the most preferred travel medium in the city as the number of people using the metro services is rising rapidly.
According to the information, the card will be valid for the whole business day between 6:00 am to 10:00 pm, and the service will be extended to the daily pass holders only.
The scheme is launched to encourage commuters to use Pune Metro services to ease traffic congestion in the city.
One Pune NCMC Rupay Card
Earlier in 2023, Pune Metro Rail launched another card, the One Pune NCMC RuPay card. The card is multipurpose in its applicability. It could be used not only for travel but also for shopping.
The card was developed in collaboration with HDFC Bank using the RuPay Payment app by the Maha Metro.
One Pune Vidyarthi Pass
Previously, Pune Metro Rail had also introduced a student card- One Pune Vidyarthi Pass. The card is significantly beneficial for the students, which can be procured at a cost of Rs 150 and an annual fee of Rs 75.
While making a top-up, a fee of 1.8 per cent of the recharge value will be levied. However, such a fee can not exceed Rs 12. In case of card replacement or re-issuance, the user will have to pay Rs 150.
