Sacked IAS officer Puja Khedkar has landed in fresh trouble after a truck driver, who was missing after an accident with a car, was traced to her Pune home.

According to the Pune police, the case surfaced on Saturday when the driver, identified as Navi Mumbai resident Prahlad Kumar, was driving a mixer truck and hit a car with the number plate MH 12 RT 5000 on the MulundAiroli Road.

After the minor accident, two people sitting in the car came out and forcibly took Kumar away on the pretext of going to the police station. They took him 150 km away to Pune and allegedly locked him inside a room. Upon receiving the information about the accident, the police started an investigation and traced the car.

It was found parked at the residence of Khedkar in Pune's Chatushringi area. The police reached there and freed Kumar, who was held hostage there.

Khedkar's mother obstructs police action, issued summons

According to the cops, they faced resistance from Khedkar's mother, Manorama, who allegedly misbehaved with the police personnel. She refused to open the door and tried to obstruct the police action.

The police have issued a summons to Puja Khedkar's mother in this regard. She has been asked to appear for questioning at the police station.

Manorama is also not new to the controversies as her video of brandishing a gun over a land dispute had gone viral last year. The video caused widespread outrage, leading to her arrest from Hirkaniwadi village in the Raigad district.
