Pune Weather: After experiencing a hotter-than-usual January, in the month of February Pune is expected to sizzle. Temperatures soared to an all-time high of 35.9 degree Celsius on January 29. With respect to the weekly weather forecast, Pune is expected to see mainly clear skies ahead with a maximum temperature hovering around 34-35 degree Celsius and a minimum temperature of 15-17 degree Celsius. According to India Meteorological Department (IMD) data, the city saw above-normal temperatures from January 26 onward, making it one of the hottest Januarys on record.

IMD Explains The Reason

 

IMD has attributed the increase in temperature to the absence of northerly winds and lack of moisture in the air. 

As per an Indian Express report, SD Sanap, a scientist at IMD Pune, mentioned that the month of February will see higher-than-usual temperatures. According to Sanap, the high temperature is a result of the absence of northerly cold winds in the region. ''These winds have been absent, and thus central India and Maharashtra have been reporting higher-than-usual temperatures,'' (sic.) he said.

Pune Weather Forecast

Feb 12: Mainly clear weather; min 15 degree Celsius, max 34 degree Celsius.

Feb 13: Sunny and clear; temperatures between 15 degree Celsius and 34 degree Celsius.

Feb 14: Clear skies continue with a low of 15 degree Celsius and a high of 34 degree Celsius.

Feb 15: Mainly clear; temperature range of 16 degree Celsius to 35 degree Celsius.

Feb 16: Warm and clear with a minimum of 16 degree Celsius and a maximum of 35 degree Celsius.

Feb 17: Clear skies with a slight rise in temperature, ranging from 17 degree Celsius to 35 degree Celsius.
