Mumbai commuters came together to assist a man who was trapped beneath a local train's wheels. The incident happened on Wednesday afternoon at Vashi station. One of the commuters recorded it and shared it on Reddit, where it quickly gained popularity and won over many fans. In a courageous deed captured on camera, passengers push the entire local train to free a fellow passenger who was stuck beneath it.

In the forty-one-second video, some people can be seen congregating close to the local train's motorman cabin, while others can be seen waiting in line and pushing the heavy train coach to one side in order to free the trapped passenger.

The individual who uploaded the video to Reddit claims that the man was discovered stranded beneath the Panvel-bound local.

"When I recorded this, people were just pushing randomly. Later, everybody collaborated and pushed at the same time and it worked," the user Cat_Of_Culture said on Reddit.

Is the person still alive? was a question posed by some Redditors. Cat_Of_Culture retorted that the man was slightly hurt and managed to escape.

A different user mentioned that the man had a sprained ankle "but otherwise he is doing fine" and that they were on the same train.

At Mumbai's Wada station last year, a vigilant ticket collector saved a passenger's life.

Senior ticket collector Sudhir Kumar Manjhi heard Urmila Pathane, the daughter of 73-year-old Sadhana Pathane, scream as he was conducting routine checks. Notably, the elderly woman slipped while boarding a moving train and was about to fall off the Vadala-Goregaon local train.
