1. Meenakshi Amman Temple, Madurai
Situated in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, on the southern bank of the Vaigai River, is the historic Meenakshi Amman temple. Constructed sometime between 1623 and 1655, the location is well-known worldwide for its incredible architecture. The main deities honoured at Meenakshi Temple are Mata Parvati, also referred to as Meenakshi, and her husband Shiva.
2. Chamundeshwari Temple, Mysore
Perched atop the Chamundi hills at an elevation of 1,000 feet, the Chamundeshwari Temple is a classic Hindu temple situated on the eastern boundary of Mysore. The temple is named after the goddess Durga. The statues of Nandi and the demon Mahishasura are also depicted at the mandir. The temple is a must-see destination since it is among the oldest in the Mysore palace city. This temple is also one of the 18 Maha-Shakti peethas.
3. Annapoorneeshwari Temple, Horanadu
The captivating Annapoorneshwari Temple, dedicated to the goddess Annapoorna, is situated near Horanadu, approximately 100 miles away from Chikmagalur in the state of Karnataka in South India. Situated on the banks of the picturesque Bhadra River, the temple is encircled by thick woods and valleys of the Western Ghats. The place is a true delight for those who enjoy the outdoors. The temple's opulent, multicoloured entrance is stunning. The goddess of food or grain, Annapoorneshwari, is revered in temples in a very select few places in India. 5. Ahobilam Temple, Anantapur
The deity honoured at the temple is Lord Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy. Chenchu Lakshmi Devi and Adi Lakshmi Devi have temples within the compound. The five feet and three inches of Lord Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy's footprint served as the foundation for the temple. It is thought that having a marriage ceremony held here results in a happy and fulfilling union.
6. Chottanikkara Temple, Kottayam
Scattered throughout three districts in the state of Kerala, Chottanikkara is the most venerated of the 393 Hindu shrines. It is around 50 miles from the town of Kottayam, near Ernakulam. Renowned for its breathtaking architectural design, the shrine is a prime example of the ancient vishwakarma sthapathis, or wooden sculptures, that carved out this temple. The temple is overseen by Sree Mahamaya Bhagawati (Aadiparashakthi), also referred to as the Goddess of Power and thought to be the ultimate mother goddess in Hinduism. The Goddess, sometimes referred to as Chottanikkara Devi, is revered in three manifestations at three separate periods of the day.

7. Mookambika Temple, Udupi
The goddess Aadiprakarshakti, who is worshipped in the Mookambika Temple, is thought to combine the energies of three goddesses: Saraswati, Mahakali, and Maha Lakshmi. The Udbhavlinga, a Linga that symbolises both Purusha and Shakti, is kept in the sanctum sanctorum.
