Ayodhya Ram Mandir Inauguration: Significance Of Pran Pratishtha Ceremony

In every temple, Pran Pratishtha is regarded as a significant custom. It is thought that each idol is just an adorning component of a figure prior to the Pran Pratishtha process. It is believed that by means of Pran Pratishtha, the sacred idols are endowed with extraordinary powers of the god. Devotees can then worship these idols after the completion of Pran Pratishtha.

- The idol is carefully carried to the temple to begin the Pran Pratishtha ritual. After that, they are revived by giving them a sacred milk bath and saturating them with fragrances.

- The idol is then placed in the sanctum sanctorum to begin the procedure. The chief priest at this time dresses the idol and positions it facing east. The priests begin reciting hymns and mantras and carrying out ceremonies once it is properly installed.

- The idol's eyes are first opened. After this is done, the idol is considered worthy of worship. The rituals are believed to breathe life into the idol and bring the heavenly presence of the presiding deity into the temple.
