Hindus celebrate the end of winter, the onset of spring, and the rebirth of life. The festival's unique bright yellow hue is a reflection of the season's general happiness as well as the flowering mustard fields. People additionally offer prayers to the goddess Saraswati, the devi associated with intelligence, arts and wisdom.
Basant Panchami 2024: Rituals Of Saraswati Puja On Vasant Panchami
- To perform Saraswati Puja on Vasant Panchmi, devotees must get up early and take a bath.
- The Saraswati Puja must be performed during the shubh muhurat only while donning yellow clothes.
- Visit the Goddess Saraswati temple or set up the idol of Maa Saraswati in your puja area. Present yellow sandalwood and yellow flowers to Mata Saraswati. Devotees must also adorn Devi Saraswati’s idol with yellow clothing.
- After that, worship Devi Saraswati with the utmost devotion and conduct Saraswati Puja.
- Place books and musical instruments in Puja Ghar.
- Serve the goddess with delicious sweet yellow rice or any other yellow dish as prasad.
- After Vasant Panchami Saraswati Puja is over, give books and prasad to young children.
