Diwali 2023: Every year, following 20 days of Dussehra or Vijayadashami, the Hindu festival of Diwali falls on the new moon of Kartik month. It spans five days, from Dhanteras to Bhai Dooj. Diwali will be observed nationwide on Sunday, November 12, 2023, this year. One of the most significant and extensively observed festivals in India is Diwali. The Diwali festival, also referred to as the Festival of Lights, is widely observed with great fervour and excitement throughout the nation. Check out some effective Vastu tips for Diwali decoration below that will help you to bring goddess Lakshmi to your house. 

Diwali 2023: Vastu Tips For Diwali Decoration 

1. Main Entrance Decoration - The main door is used by everyone to enter the house, including Goddess Lakshmi. Therefore, the main door needs to be prepared appropriately. Thoroughly clean and oil your door. There shouldn't be any voice creaking. Make the footsteps of Goddess Laxmi at the entrance. Don't use premade stickers. Bandarwal can be used to decorate doors. Make the bandarwal yourself using the leaves of the Ashok, Kaner, peepal, and mango trees.  

2. Drawing Room Decoration - In the north/east corner of the home, arrange flowers in a beautiful bowl set over water. The north/east corner of the rangoli should also feature the Om and Swastik symbols. In the southeast corner of the home, place earthen diyas.

3. Lighting - According to Vastu, everything in the colours red, blue, orange, white, and yellow is beneficial. Point them in the proper direction to boost your optimism. Use yellow lights at the main entrance to the East. Use green or yellow lights for the north and northeast. You may also use red at the Southeast entrance. Additionally, the combination of red and blue works incredibly well for South and South West. 

4. Rangoli - Indian heritage includes rangoli art as much as it does as artwork. On Diwali, a should be made at your home's main entrance. Make an effort to maintain its ethnicity. Don't use stencils or rangoli stamps. For rangoli designs, Om, Swastika, or other sacred symbols should not be used, however, you can draw goddess Lakshmi's footsteps. The colours of the lights should correspond with the colours of the rangoli. Additionally, people should refrain from using readymade rangolis.

5. Diyas - The essence of Diwali celebrations is lighting little oil lamps or diyas. Thus, in order to bring good fortune into your home, it's crucial to light them according to Vastu principles. Light the diyas to bring prosperity home and fill them only with pure ghee. Sunflower oil may cause problems, so avoid using it to light diyas. Start by lighting the diyas in your puja room.
