On the day of Gayatri Japam, Brahmins rise before sunrise and take an early bath, marking the beginning of a sacred ritual. They offer prayers to their deities, seeking enlightenment and wisdom. The core of the ritual involves chanting the Gayatri Mantra, typically 108 or 1008 times, with devotion and focus. The specifics of the ritual can vary depending on the mutt affiliation, but the essence remains the same. This chanting is usually performed during the morning hours, within a specified time frame.
