The puja vidhi for Guru Pradosh Vrat is very simple and effective. On this day, wake up early in the morning, take a bath, and wear clean clothes. The devotees must observe the pradosh vrat throughout the day and do maximum jaap of - Om Namah Shivaya. Make sure to worship Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. Light a ghee deepak in front of their picture or idol and offer fruits, flowers and sweets.

The main worship of this fast is performed in the evening, during the Pradosh Kaal. At sunset, take another bath or wash your hands and feet. After that, perform the abhishekam of the Shiva Lingam with Ganges water, milk, and dahi. Then offer bel leaves, datura flowers, and akshat to Lord Shiva. Finally, listen to the Guru Pradosh Vrat story and perform the aarti. Consume sattvic food only after performing the puja rituals.
