Mahalaxmi Vrat 2025 End Date: The Mahalaxmi Vrat starts on the eighth day of the Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapad and ends sixteen days later, on the eighth day of the Krishna Paksha of Ashwin. People worship Goddess Lakshmi with daily prayers and hymns during this time. It is believed that this observance brings money, clears debt and brings prosperity. While keeping the Vrat for all sixteen days is best, it can also be done for three days or even just one if needed. This year, the Mahalaxmi Vrat 2025 end date falls on 14th September 2025, Sunday. According to the Panchang, Ashwin Krishna Ashtami tithi begins at 05:04 AM on 14th September 2025 and ends at 03:06 AM on 15th September 2025.

Mahalaxmi Vrat 2025 Udhyapan Vidhi
On the last day of Mahalaxmi Vrat, devotees conclude their fast with a sincere prayer and special puja. A mandap is established to worship the goddess, but if that is not feasible, a simple altar can be arranged by covering a wooden base with a red cloth and setting up an image or idol of Goddess Lakshmi on it.
The deity is bathed with Panchamrit, and sixteen various dishes are offered. The puja is conducted according to the Shodashopachar procedure and then Brahmins are fed. Sixteen Brahmins are ideally invited and they are served a meal with reverence.
Besides feeding Brahmins, it is also auspicious to feed sixteen married women, Brahmin women, or young girls if available. Devotees give dakshina and gifts in return after the meal with thankfulness. The benefits of observing this vrat is even described in the Mahabharata, where Lord Krishna himself describes the advantages.
