Mahashivratri 2024: One of the most significant Hindu Puranic texts is the Shiv Purana. This sacred text glorifies the attributes of Lord Shiva, also known as Bholenath or Mahadev. The Purana provides a detailed explanation of everything, including Lord Shiva's duties, incarnations, and blessings. This also includes a discussion of a person's acts and movements from birth to death. Shivpuran also describes the alterations and indicators that precede a person's demise.

Shiv Puran states that when a person is about to die they start to realise this beforehand. People are unable to recognise the signs that begin to develop before death. Certain signs indicate that an individual is approaching the end of their life.

5 Signs That Death Is Near According To Shiv Puran 

1. According to Shivpuran, a person's left-hand twitching or the top portion of their mouth drying up are further signs that they are dying. It is thought that such a person's time is rapidly approaching. Death might happen very soon. 

2. If a person sees a glowing circle, either black or red, around the sun and moon then it is a warning of impending death according to Shiva Purana

3. Shiva Purana states that a person may be close to passing away if their entire body goes white and they start to exhibit yellow or red scars on it. 

4. According to Shiva Purana, if one cannot see their reflection in a mirror, ghee, water, or oil, they are on the verge of death.

5.  It is stated that one experiences a loss of function in their five senses even before their death approaches in a few months.
