Significance Of Cows In The Hindu Religion 

According to the sacred Hindu texts, during Samudra Manthan when Lord Vishnu tells Lord Indra to churn the ocean in search of the elixir of immortality, numerous items and holy creatures arose. Kamdhenu Cow was one of such heavenly creatures. According to the religious scriptures, this holy cow possessed the divine power to grant one's wishes. Whoever owned this Kamdhenu Cow was blessed richly. The cow was also thought to have divine qualities, and just looking at it brought good health, money, and success.

Cows have a significant meaning not only in Samudra Manthan, but also in Lord Krishna's heart. According to the holy writings, Lord Indra gave Lord Krishna a cow after the latter taught him a lesson by raising the Govardhan Parvat and rescuing the peasants.

Significance Of Cows As Per Scientific Factors 

Apart from being a holy animal, the cow is also an important scientific mammal. According to Hinduism, this holy animal's urine includes antimicrobial, antibacterial, antiviral, and insecticidal capabilities. Cow excrement is also the best manure. It is useful for lighting fires and cooking food. People can also eliminate hazardous insects in their surroundings by burning them. As a result, it purifies the environment.
