Asian Games 2023 Day 11 Highlights: India In 4th Spot With 81 Medals

That's it from the 11th day at the Asian Games 2023 as India ended up creating the record of 18 gold medals, their best in the history of the games.

The men's 4x400m relay team from India, consisting of Anas Muhammed Yahiya, Amoj Jacob, Muhammed Ajmal Variyathodi, and Rajesh Ramesh, won gold with a timing of 3:01.58.

Avinash Sable and the women's 4X400m team added two more silver medals to India's medal tally. 

Neeraj Chopra won gold in the men's javelin with the best throw of 88.88m while compatriot Kishore Kumar Jena bagged silver with a throw of 87.54m.

Harmilan Bains bags silver in the women's 800m with a timing of 2:03.75 to finish behind the Sri Lankan.

Sunil Kumar wins the Bronze medal in men's wrestling 87kg after beating Krygz grappler 2-1 in a hard-fought bout.

In Squash, Saurav Ghosal qualified for the Men's Singles event. Saurav crushed WR 52 Henry Leung 3-0 (11-2, 11-1, 11-6) in Semis. ,

India's women's kabaddi team has defeated Thailand 54-22 to qualify for the semifinals.

India's men's hockey team has defeated South Korea 5-3 to qualify for the final.

Ashwini Ponnappa & Tanisha Crasto lost against reigning World Championships medalists Zhang Shuxian & Zheng Yu 13-21, 21-23 in 2nd round of Women's Doubles. ,

Satwik and Chirag get a 24-22, 16-21, 21-12 win over the WR11 Indonesian duo and they are through to the Quarter Finals.

Lovlina Borgohain clinches the silver medal after losing against Li Qian of China 0:5 in the Final of women's boxing (75kg).

PARVEEN SETTLES FOR BRONZE

Parveen who earlier secured the Olympic quota by reaching the semifinals has now become the fourth Indian boxer to win the bronze medal at the Asian Games 2022 after Nikhat Zareen, Preeti and Narender.

Parveen Hooda (57kg) ends her Asian Games 2022 campaign with a bronze after going down 0-5 against 2 time World Champion Chinese Taipei's Lin Yu Ting in the semifinals.

Indian Kabaddi team up against Thailand in Men's Team Group A fixture. 

Archery pair of Jyothi Vennam Surekha and Pravin Ojas Deotale, secured a victory by defeating the Malaysian duo of Binti Mat Salleh Fatin and Bin Mazuki with a score of 158-155. This win allowed them to progress to the semi-finals in the mixed team compound archery event at the Asian Games.

India is up against Malaysia in a compound mixed team quarterfinal match.  

Indian sprinters Manju Rani, Ram Baboo are currently in third position in 35km Race Walk Mixed Teams Final.
