Newcastle United delivered an impressive performance, securing a remarkable 4-1 victory over French champions Paris St Germain (PSG) in their first Champions League home match in 20 years. In front of an electrifying crowd, Newcastle took a 17th-minute lead with a goal from Miguel Almiron. They extended their lead just before halftime as Dan Burn scored a powerful header.

The momentum continued in the second half, with Sean Longstaff adding a third goal for Newcastle. PSG managed to pull one back with a goal from Lucas Hernandez, but Newcastle sealed the victory with a stoppage-time goal from defender Fabian Schar.

This stunning victory placed Newcastle at the top of Group F with four points, one ahead of PSG in second place. PSG's loss marked their heaviest group-stage defeat in the Champions League since 2004 and their first time conceding four goals in a single group game since 2001.

Despite their domestic struggles in Ligue 1, PSG faced a determined Newcastle side that outplayed them from the beginning. PSG failed to register a single shot on target in the first half, an unusual occurrence for them in a Champions League group-stage match.

Newcastle's fans were in full voice, and their team responded with a memorable performance. The goals from Almiron, Burn, Longstaff, and Schar secured a historic victory for the club.

In the other match of the group, Borussia Dortmund and AC Milan played to a goalless draw in Germany, marking Milan's second draw in their opening two Champions League matches of the season.
