Cristiano Ronaldo has provided a major update on his future, reacting to the continuous speculations amid his impressive form for both club and country over the past few months.
Ronaldo said that he is proud and happy with his achievements to date, mentioning that he has no plans of retiring from the game any time soon. He pointed out that he is contributing to the club and the nation and wants to continue doing so.
The 40-year-old Portuguese star continues to shine for both Al Nassr and Portugal, having scored over 940 career goals and nearing his much-awaited 1000-goal milestone. On Tuesday, Liga Portugal honoured Ronaldo with the GOAT Award, recognising him as the greatest footballer of all time.

"I know you must be tired of still seeing me here at these ceremonies! But I’m proud and happy. I think I still bring a lot to the National Team and to football," Ronaldo said after his win.
"I want to keep playing for a few more years, not many… I have to be honest. I am still producing good things, helping my club and the National Team. Why not continue? I am sure when I retire, I will leave fulfilled because I gave everything," Ronaldo added.

With an aim to seal the World Cup qualification, Portugal bagged eight goals in their first two qualifiers in September. They might need just two more victories over this international break to wrap up top spot in Group F. They will seal the deal with wins against the Republic of Ireland on Saturday, October 11 and Hungary on Tuesday, unless Armenia defeats both those same opponents.
Notably, Ronaldo scored three goals last month, including one in a dramatic 3-2 victory over Hungary in Budapest. Portugal will be looking to make their seventh consecutive World Cup appearance in 2026.
The five-time Ballon d'or winner won his second international trophy a few months ago as Portugal defeated Spain in the final to lift their second Nations League title.
