Neeraj Chopra Headlines India's Athletics Challenge

All eyes will be on Neeraj Chopra as the two-time Olympic medallist makes his much-awaited appearance in Glasgow. Having returned to full fitness, Chopra is among the favourites to reclaim the Commonwealth crown and further cement his legacy as one of India's greatest athletes.

India's athletics challenge also includes several other medal hopefuls. Shot put star Tajinderpal Singh Toor will compete in the men's event, while Parul Chaudhary will aim for a podium finish in the women's 5000m final.

Weightlifters Eye More Medals

India will once again look towards its weightlifting contingent, which has already delivered several medals at the Games. Two Indian lifters will compete in medal events on Thursday as they attempt to continue the country's impressive run in one of its strongest disciplines.

With weightlifting emerging as a major contributor to India's medal tally in Glasgow, expectations remain high for another successful outing.

After a successful opening week that featured gold medals from Mirabai Chanu, Sharmila Dhankar, and Dilip Mahadu Gavit, along with several silver and bronze medals across athletics and weightlifting, India will be hoping to maintain its momentum on Day 8.
