Dubai News: India's star shuttler PV Sindhu has said that an explosion had happened where she and her team were staying at Dubai airport and were left stranded owing to the ongoing Iran-linked attacks in Dubai. She said it was an extremely tense moment, and that the coach ran away when he realized he was quite close to the smoke and debris.
Sindhu also revealed that, after that incident, they have now been moved to a safer place and thanked the Dubai airport authorities and the Indian High Commission for their quick action in the ongoing crisis. Since uncertainty looms large, she took to her official X account to discuss this experience and said they are now taking some rest and hope the situation will settle down soon.
"The ordeal continues to unfold, and the situation is becoming more frightening by the hour. A few hours ago, there was an explosion close to where we were holed up at the airport. My coach had to quickly leave the area because he was closest to the smoke and debris. It was an extremely tense and scary moment for all of us," Sindhu had written on her official X account.

A special thanks as well to the Indian High Commission in Dubai for their incredible support and constant assistance in helping keep us safe. For now, we are trying to get some rest and hold on to hope as we wait for things to settle," she said.
HOW PV SINDHU GOT STRANDED IN DUBAI
Sindhu flew to Birmingham for the All England Open, which starts next week, and had a layover in Dubai. But due to the ongoing Middle East crisis, air travel at Dubai International Airport had come to a halt, leaving thousands of passengers, including Sindhu, stranded with no clarity on when the situation would improve.
She had also posted images from the airport on her official Instagram account, showing that all flights were suspended until further notice. This post grabbed everyone's attention, showing how the geopolitical tensions have had a huge impact, felt beyond the conflict-affected areas. According to Dubai airport officials, flight operations at both Dubai International and Al Maktoum International airports were halted, and passengers were advised not to come to the airports.
