Manu Bhaker and Sarabjot Singh, an Indian shooting duo, won the bronze medal in the mixed team 10m Air Pistol event at the Chateauroux Shooting Center during the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. India has now won two shooting medals at the Summer Games.
As congratulations from fellow citizens flood the internet, Google India also uniquely honours the shooter pair.
"Ek hi toh dil hai…do baar jeet liya. (Have just one heart, you won it twice). Congratulations to #ManuBhaker and #SarabjotSingh for winning the first ever medal for India in a shooting team event," Google India posted on their X account.
To commemorate the achievement, Google India added a special feature to its site. Users looking for India Olympics 2024 will get a bronze medal pop-up on their screen. While India's triumph in the mixed 10m air pistol is highlighted, users can click on it to dedicate a bouquet of flowers to the athletes.

Manu Bhaker, Sarabjot Singh's Bronze Medal In Mixed Team 10m Air Pistol Event
Manu Bhaker and Sarabjot Singh won the 10m air pistol mixed team event on Tuesday, defeating South Koreans Oh Ye Jin and Wonho Lee. While they didn't start well, the duo finally recovered to lead 4-2, which they increased to 8-2 after the fifth series. After a tight battle, Manu's 9.4 and Sarabjot's 10.2 contributed to India's medal win.
