India's Day 2 Schedule at the Paris Paralympics: The Indian contingent at the Paris Paralympics 2024 will be looking to make their mark on Day 2 with two medal events lined up. After a mixed start on the opening day, the focus will now shift to experienced and promising athletes who have the potential to bring home India's first medals of the Games.
Avani Lekhra, a two-time Paralympic medalist, is set to begin her much-anticipated campaign. Having already secured gold and bronze at the Tokyo Paralympics, she will be a key figure to watch as she aims to add more medals to her impressive tally.
Sheetal Devi, who made headlines with her season-best performance in the ranking round of the women's individual compound event, will be back in action on Saturday. Although her Round of 16 match is scheduled for tomorrow, her excellent form is a promising sign for India's chances in archery.
Karam Jyoti and Sakshi Kasana will compete in the women's discus throw F55 final, where both athletes will be aiming to secure a podium finish. Preethi Pal will be representing India in the women's 100m-T35 final. As a young and upcoming athlete, Preethi's participation in the final is a significant achievement, and she will be looking to make it even more memorable by securing a medal.
