CONCACAF Champions Cup semifinal 2025: Brian White and Sebastien Berhalter scored goals each and helped Vancouver Whitecaps defeat Lionel Messi-led Inter Miami by 2-0 on Thursday during the first leg of the CONCACAF Champions Cup semifinal. The second leg of the ongoing tournament will be held on Friday at the Chase Stadium in Florida.
Whichever team wins will then qualify for the summit clash, where they will either lock horns with Cruz Azul or Tigres Unal on 1st June.
About 53,837 fans had come to watch Messi play at the BC Place stadium. They weren't let down when the legendary Argentinian football player began the match and played throughout. Besides him, the other star player was Spain's star mid-fielder Sergio Busquets, Uruguay's forward Louis Suarez, and Spain's defender Jordi Alba.
Despite Miami's star-studded lineup, it was White, who entertained the fans the most as he went past Pedro Vite towards goalkeeper Oscar Ustari during the 25th minute. Berhalter took the team's score to 2-0 in the 84th minute.
