iOS 18 Public Beta Release Rumours: Apple is expected to release iOS 18 public beta anytime soon this month. The company usually starts rolling out the beta version of iOS 18, iPadOS 18, watchOS 11, macOS Sequoia and other software after opening the testing build for developers at the WWDC 2024. For the unaware, the tech giant unveiled the third developer beta of iOS 18 a few days ago.

Before the beta builds of the software are available for the public, users can pre-enrol an eligible device in the beta program so that the update is available on your device as soon as the beta starts rolling out. If you also plan to try out the beta build of iOS 18, you can follow these steps.

iOS 18 Public Beta: How To Register?

Step 1: To enrol an eligible iPhone to try the public beta, head to: beta.apple.com.

Step 2: Find the 'Sign Up' option which is tinted blue and click on it

Step 3: Sign in using your Apple Account

Step 4: Read and 'Agree' to the terms of the Beta Software Program Agreement

Step 5: Now follow the guidelines for your particular device to ensure you receive the beta updates on time

Apple could announce the public beta of the next iOS, iPad, macOS, watchOS, tvOS and HomePod software in a few days. 9To5Mac speculates the public beta versions could debut as soon as July 15. For context, the iOS 17 and iOS 16 public betas were released on July 12, 2023, and July 11, 2022. However, the company could delay the release of the software to a later date which could imply a possible release after July 22.

Users can head to the Settings app and download the beta version from the Software Update option in the General tab. Do note the iPhone must be signed in to the same Apple Account enrolled in the beta program. It is recommended that you install the beta build on a secondary device due to the possible bugs and issues in the OS.
