One of the most anticipated releases of the year is the upgraded Apple AirPods, and it appears that Apple has huge plans for this year. According to the reports, the company is now preparing to launch the "entry-level" AirPods in September of this year along with the iPhone 16. Further, the report suggests that the business intends to create a record for the quantity of AirPods it will produce when it starts production of two new entry-level models.
According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the company is planning to produce over 20-25 million fourth-generation AirPods, with production to start at GoerTek Inc. and Luxshare Precision Industry Co. in May. It means that the company is expecting massive strong demand and may get massive entry-level pricing.

However, the fourth-generation AirPods are believed to have a unique design and features that distinguish them apart from the current AirPod series. The third-generation AirPods will cost Rs 19,900 in India, while the second generation is available for Rs 12,900. Apple may discontinue the second generation AirPods after unveiling the new generation AirPods to make them a more tempting deal for purchasers.
