New Delhi | Jagran Tech Desk: Tech giant Apple rolled out its streaming service-- Apple TV+ on Friday. The services can be seen availed via Apple TV app on OTT platforms-- iPhone, iPad, Apple TV 4K, Apple TV HD, Apple TV (3rd generation), iPod touch and Mac. The service is available at a cost of just Rs 99 per month and iPhone 11 users will avail the services free of cost.
The company had launched its services earlier on September 10 to give stiff competition to Netflix and Amazon Prime across 100 countries. The users will be able to enjoy the original film and documentaries on this platform. In order to subscribe to the video streaming service, one needs to update their devices with iOS 12.3, tvOS 12.3 and macOS Catalina.

The services can also be watched on the official Amazon's website. Those who have bought iPhone, MacBook and iPads after the launch of the iPhone 11 will enjoy the services free for a period of 12 months. As of now, the streaming service will offer exclusive shows such as The Morning Show and Amazing Stories and movies from renown filmmakers-- Steven Spielberg and JJ Abrams.
When it comes to the online streaming rivalry, the price of Netflix is the highest with Rs 800 per month for premium services and Rs 200 per month for streaming on OTT platform. Amazon Prime, on the other hand, is charging Rs 129 per month for its exclusive content. Hotstar provides its premium content for Rs 999 on a yearly basis with no monthly plans. Apple TV+ has launched its service (Rs 99/month) at the cheapest price. However, the company is only offering a free trial period of seven days as compared to Amazon and Hotstar that allows the users to make up their mind after one month of free service.
