Apple iPhone Foldable: Apple is going to come out with its new lineup of flagship iPhones this year, and with leaks about the new flagships floating around the internet, there are some leaks that suggest that a foldable iPhone might be in the making that we might get to see next year.
Bloomberg's Mark Gurman has claimed that there might be a few new features that you might get to witness that make it come out on top of its other competitors.
His primary focus circled around the folding mechanism that the new iPhone foldable could employ. It has been rumoured that over the years Apple has stayed away from foldables due to the evident creasing that can be seen in them. Gurman has said that next year's foldable iPhone could feature a "nearly invisible" crease when the iPhone is kept open or unfolded.

Apple’s rumoured foldable iPhone continues to stir excitement, especially with fresh details about its hinge design. The device is said to feature a “much higher-quality hinge”, and earlier this year, tipster Instant Digital claimed Apple plans to use a groundbreaking liquid metal hinge made from “amorphous alloy (metallic glass)”. This futuristic material is expected to be not only more durable but also capable of folding flatter than current alternatives.
Meanwhile, Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold lineup has seen steady yearly improvements, but even the latest models haven’t managed to hide the crease entirely. That could change soon, though—rumours suggest Samsung Display has finally figured out how to eliminate the crease. Whether that breakthrough debuts in the Galaxy Z Fold 7 this year or is reserved for a future generation remains to be seen.
As for Apple’s approach, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reports that the foldable iPhone won’t be treated as an experimental or niche product. Instead, it’ll be introduced as a “new high-end model, rather than a niche alternative design”. This supports earlier predictions from analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who suggested a launch could come in 2026 or 2027, with a premium price tag between $2,000 and $2,500.
Analyst Kuo has also suggested that the foldable iPhone could come with a 7.8-inch inner screen and a 5.5-inch cover screen, dual cameras, and a selfie shooter at the front. It might also feature a Touch ID power button, and Face ID might not be there.
The analyst also claimed that when the device is folded, it would measure up to be 4.5 mm, and when it's folded, it might measure up to 9 and 9.5mm, similar to what its rival Samsung Galaxy Fold 7, could feature.
