Whiskey Delivery Near Me is one of the most searched phrases on Google, as people have been habitual of delivery platforms. But the scammers have become way smarter and the people fall for the scams and lose their hard-earned money. According to a news report, a 32-year-old Gurugram woman tried to order liquor online but was scammed for Rs 30,000.

Following the inquiry, it was discovered that the scammers were operating out of Bharatpur, Rajasthan. According to the official, the scam occurred on October 10, and a FIR was filed a few days later.

According to the news report, the victim was hunting for an online spirits delivery platform in the area and discovered one that agreed to transport the brand if she paid the entire amount in advance by UPI. According to the claims, she paid Rs 3,000 for a bottle of Glenfiddich and then received a call for the delivery charges. The victim was then asked to spend Rs 5 to cancel the transaction, after which the full amount was credited back to her account. Later, she received an SMS informing her that Rs 29,986 had been debited from her bank account.

It is said that the fraudsters had personal details that allowed them to make the transaction from her account. Scams like these have become more common as fraudsters have ideas about their target and how they operate.

How To Be Safe From Online Scams:

Do not blindly trust the platforms that show on the search engine. Make sure to cross-check the portal you are visiting.

Never make transactions to unknown calls and messages even if they claim to be your known or a service provider unless you verify them. Also, do not share the OTPs with strangers on call.

Avoid clicking on the links sent to you by unknown numbers, email addresses or messages.
