Soon After Google's annual developer conference, Microsoft's annual developer conference 'Build' was held on Tuesday, and AI was once again the highlight of the event. The firm also emphasised user creativity at its annual 'Build 2023' event, and to empower users even more, it announced Windows Copilot, making Windows 11 the first PC platform to unveil centralised AI support to enable people to simply take action and get things done.
Along with additional hardware support from AMD, Intel, Nvidia, and Qualcomm, the firm also unveiled a new hybrid AI loop to facilitate AI development across platforms and from Azure to clients.
“We're bringing Bing Chat plugins to Windows, allowing developers to link their apps into Windows Copilot to better serve their customers and enhance engagement on native Windows applications,” said Panos Panay, Chief Product Officer, Windows and Devices at Microsoft.
"We're excited to introduce Dev Home, which is designed to help every developer become more productive on Windows. In addition, we are introducing new AI features and experiences in the Microsoft Store for Windows," Panay continued.
Further, the company has also announced that Bing and ChatGPT plugins would not only allow the users to use the ChatGPT capabilities, but the developers will also have new ways to reach out to their audience.
When Will Windows Copilot Be Available:
In June, Windows Copilot will begin to be made accessible in preview."Using Windows Copilot is simple and intuitive; the button is prominently displayed on your taskbar and is easy to locate.
What’s New:
The Windows Copilot sidebar is always accessible to serve as your personal assistant once it is active and remains consistent across all of your programs, and windows, according to Microsoft.
The business stated: "Just like Bing Chat, you can ask Windows Copilot a range of queries from simple to sophisticated. Additionally, Dev Home, a new residence for Windows developers, was announced.
With features like WinGet configuration for quicker and easier setup, Dev Drive for improved filesystem performance, and a new customizable dashboard to keep track of all your workflows and tasks in one place, Dev Home, a new experience in Windows 11, which is currently available in preview, helps you get back in the zone and streamlines your workflow.
