Activision announced the multiplayer mode for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 today, including new maps, modes, and gameplay features. This highly anticipated military shooter will launch on November 14, 2025 across PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series S/X platforms.

Prior to launch, players will get an early opportunity to experience the game during its beta period - beginning October 2 for pre-order customers and October 5-8 for all other players.

Maps at Launch

Black Ops 7 will launch with a total of 18 multiplayer maps, including:

 

- 16 core 6v6 maps

 

 

- 2 large-scale 20v20 Skirmish maps

Six maps will be available during the beta:

 

 

- Blackheart

 

 

- Cortex

 

 

- Exposure

 

 

- Imprint

 

 

- The Forge

 

 

- Toshin

 

The full launch lineup also includes Colossus, Den, Flagship, Homestead, Paranoia, Retrieval, Scar, and three returning fan-favorites from Black Ops 2: Express, Hijacked, and Raid.

The 20v20 Skirmish maps are titled Mission: Edge and Mission: Tide, designed to support vehicles, wingsuits, and large-scale objectives.

New and Returning Modes

In addition to classics like Team Deathmatch, Domination, Kill Confirmed, Hardpoint, Search and Destroy, Gunfight, Free-for-All, Kill Order, and Control, Black Ops 7 introduces:

 

- Overload (6v6) – Teams battle to control an overload device.

 

 

- 20v20 Skirmish – Larger maps featuring vehicles, wingsuits, and multi-objective gameplay.

 

 

- Four alternate modes that will be detailed closer to launch.

The multiplayer experience will also bring:

 

- New Overclock system to customize playstyles

 

 

- Perks and Field Upgrades for tactical flexibility
