Black Ops 7 fans rejoice! Activision announced Monday that its open beta period had been extended by one day, giving more players more time to explore its multiplayer maps and modes before its official release on November 4th. Activision thanked fans for their outstanding participation and feedback during this extended open beta that started live on October 5th but will now end on October 9th at 9am Pacific Time (9:30pm India Time).

Black Ops 7 Open Beta Extension Announced

Activision decided to extend the Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 open beta by 24 hours due to high player engagement and demand, saying

“The reaction to the Black Ops 7 Beta so far has been awesome to see! Whether you're calling in Nukes in Multiplayer or going for high rounds in Zombies Survival, we've had a ton of fun playing alongside everyone.”

The extension means that players on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms now have two additional days to jump into the action before the servers go offline.

New Maps and Playlists Added

Alongside the extension, Activision has rolled out new content for the open beta. A brand-new Toshin map has been added, joining existing maps such as The Forge, Cortex, Exposure, Imprint, and Blackheart.

Players can now try out updated playlists, including:

- Open Moshpit

- Moshpit

- Open Hardcore Moshpit

- Search & Destroy

The “Open” playlists are designed to bring back classic matchmaking, where skill-based parameters are kept minimal — allowing players of all levels to compete more freely.

Black Ops 7 vs Battlefield 6 Launch Timeline

Black Ops 7 open beta expansion now coincides with EA's major shooter title Battlefield 6 being released on October 10. Both titles are competing to grab player attention this fall; Battlefield 6 held its own beta test back in August, marking its return after four years.

What’s Next for Black Ops 7

Activision announced today that they will soon share how player feedback and data from the beta will be integrated into the final version of Treyarch's game before its release date, in order to optimize balance, performance, and matchmaking prior to its launch.
