LG CES 2026: LG announced its smart TV lineup for 2026 ahead of CES, returning one of its most emblematic designs to the market and wading directly into Samsung’s arty TV waters. The South Korean tech manufacturer has announced at least one return, that of its Wallpaper OLED range, as well as a completely fresh Gallery TV series, both of which have been designed to better marry up screen technology with interior design.

LG Revives the Wallpaper OLED After Six Years

LG has brought back its Wallpaper OLED series, last seen in 2020 with the OLED WX. Debuted in 2017, the Wallpaper TVs gained fame for their razor-thin build and wall-grazing design. The new version, known as the LG OLED evo W6, has that philosophy front and centre again but with contemporary updates.

With an ultra-thin 9mm-class body, the OLED evo W6 supports up to a large 100-inch screen size. Thanks to advancements in panel design, those vital components can now be integrated into the display panel itself while allowing a new-and-improved magnetic mount to keep the TV sitting flush against the wall.

One of the biggest enhancements is true wireless function. The Zero Connect Box carries all ports and processing hardware, which can be located up to 10 metres away. This leaves only one power cable plugged into the TV, for a neat and lean setup. The TV is driven by LG’s Alpha 9 Gen 3 processor, which allows for the wireless transmission of “visually lossless” 4K video with audio, according to the company.

Gallery TV Targets Samsung’s The Frame

In addition to the Wallpaper OLED, LG also launched Gallery TV – a new art-driven TV line that competes more directly with Samsung’s popular Frame series. In idle mode, Gallery TV turns into wall art and shows classic artwork, cinematic photography, personal photos and images created with AI.

LG's attention has been on presentation. Those TVs will come with a new Gallery Mode, anti-reflective panels and redesigned bezels to help make the display look more like framed art than just another TV. Gallery TV will be available at launch in 55-inch and 65 inch sizes.

Gallery+ Service Brings It All Together

For its part, both the Wallpaper OLED and Gallery TV connect to LG’s similarly designed Gallery+ service, which was launched in 2018. Image credits: NineFour/Phallus_PA#3437 Gallery+ also includes more than 4,500 curated visuals – artwork, cinematic scenes, game-inspired imagery, and collections such as personal photos and AI-generated images. LG says the service also combines visuals with mood-matching background music to enrich the ambient experience.

Of course Gallery+ isn't exclusive to these new models and works across many of LG's smart TVs, in keeping with its catalogue-wide approach where it tries to offer a core set of features across rather than just special features for a certain model.

LG’s CES 2026 Strategy

With the return of the Wallpaper OLED and now with the new Gallery TV, it’s obvious that LG is getting serious about TVs being more about lifestyle than simply screens. The company is combining design, wireless technology and content services in order to cater to users who want their TVs to disappear into their living spaces — or stand out as art — when not being used.

Pricing and availability are due to be announced during CES 2026 in Las Vegas, when we'll also hopefully get a more detailed look at all the features LG's rolled into this new home robot.
